Working in the Social Integration Programmes
Published: May 24, 2017 Reading time: 1 minuteWe operate social integration programmes in seven regions of the Czech Republic. They provide social and educational services at nine regional branches (Bílina, Chomutov, Karlovy Vary, Kladno and Beroun, Liberec, Olomouc Region, Plzeň, Prague, Ústí nad Labem), targeted primarily at people from disadvantaged localities. A large proportion of them are children and young people. Our team comprises employees involved directly in work in the field, coordinators, administrators, education methods specialists and other specialists.
The needs of real people must be of crucial importance to the ideal Social Integration Programmes employee. He/she will be expected to approach satisfaction of such needs wholeheartedly, responsibly, fairly and persistently, but with empathy and respect. His/her approach must embrace the low threshold principle and be based on authentic respect for others and their dignity and also for human rights.
In the course of his/her work, the employee must show a high degree of independence and be prepared to take responsibility for his/her own decisions. At the same time, he/she must have no qualms about asking for help when he/she needs it and he/she must also be willing to help out his/her colleagues. In addition to a high degree of independence, he/she must be willing to work in a team, share his/her ideas, information and experience. He/she must also be open to the opinions of others. He/she should be predominantly active within the team and always try to take a constructive approach.
