European Union
European Union is a unique economic and political union between 27 European countries created after World War II initially as an economic union in order to avoid conflict, but over time, has expanded into other policy areas promoting peace, equality, prosperity, and improved standards of living among its member countries and those it aims to help via trade and/or humanitarian aid and civil protection. European Union, along with People in Need provide humanitarian aid and support to under developed and developing nations such as Ethiopia, Syria, Mongolia, and Ukraine among many others. ECHO has been a core humanitarian donor for People in Need and the cooperation was extended until 2027 via renewed Humanitarian partnership.
