Alliance 2015

Alliance2015 is a strategic partnership of seven European non-governmental organisations engaged in humanitarian and development activities. We are ACTED, Cesvi, Concern Worldwide, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, Hivos, People in Need and Welthungerhilfe. The Spanish organization Ayuda en Acción has also joined Alliance2015 as associate member in September 2018. Our global work is based on European values of human rights, solidarity and tolerance. PIN has been a member of Alliance2015 since 2004. Founded in 2000 to strengthen our members’ contribution to the Millennium Development Goals, we work towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We seek to increase our impact on poverty reduction and aid effectiveness, to contribute to communities’ resilience and effective emergency preparedness and response, and to influence development and humanitarian policies in Europe towards this. Our membership is active in 89 countries, programming €981 million in 2017 alone. We work together to deliver better results, value for money, and increased transparency and accountability. At present we count 39 joint programming initiatives covering 20 countries. This collaboration gives us access to better infrastructure, knowledge sharing, and a greater reach than each would have individually. Since early 2017, the work of Alliance2015 is supported by an office in Brussels.
