The Emerging Leaders Fellowship 2019
Published: Feb 8, 2019 Reading time: 1 minutePeople in Need is pleased to announce the second edition of the Emerging Leaders Fellowship (ELF) that will take place in Prague on May 6- July 19, 2019.
The 10- week program aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of emerging civil society leaders through trainings and workshops on ethical leadership, team work, decision-making, on-camera communication, debating, social media, project management, and more. Fellows will receive professional guidelines to work on their own projects and will also be offered professional coaching.
We are currently accepting applications from civil society activists and journalists from Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
Deadline: March 10, 2019.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed mid March.
All participation expenses are covered by the organizers.
Candidate requirements:
- Advanced or fluent English (all shortlisted candidates will be interviewed via Skype)
- Civil society background
- Nationality of Azerbaijan or Central Asian republics
- Minimum age: 21 years old
The fellowship is best suited for mid-career professionals with experience in the human rights/civil society field or social entrepreneurship.
The first edition of the Emerging Fellowship Program, which took place in 2017, featured 35 different activities within the period of two months, including 14 trainings and workshops on a variety of topics (social media, argumentation skills, intercultural communication, advocacy, fellowship and study abroad applications and more), 6 talks and lectures, and more than a dozen networking meetings.
