Support the Food Collection with us on 11 November!

The autumn round of Food Collection will take place on Saturday, 11 November 2023, in every region of the Czech Republic. Thanks to you, 438 tonnes were collected in this year's spring round. Will we be able to exceed the weight of our spring collection and help people in need?
Who does the food and drugstore help?
Ms Radka is a single mother of four young children. She was forced to leave their father because he committed domestic violence against her and their children. She has found a new place to live in an attic apartment for about CZK 17,000 per month. The only income she earns is from maternity pay and allowances for the children, as she cannot work due to their young age. She still needs around CZK 2,000 to pay for her housing. Her mother, a pensioner, helps her pay the rent and buy food, but this assistance cannot last forever. We work with Radka to help her with child support and other benefits. Until the money starts coming in, she receives food and medicinal packages from us. The nappies and baby formula for the youngest children help the family a lot.

Where will we meet this time?
For this autumn round of the Food Collection, as in the past, you can meet us at Kaufland in Ostrov, Jeseník, Přerov, and Prostějov. Our Ukrainian colleagues will join the collection as volunteers in Ústí nad Labem. They regularly assist refugees and know well how much a package of food can help mothers and their children when they have nothing at all. It is their way of thanking the Czech people for all of the help they provided to Ukrainian refugees.
We will be helping by handing out information leaflets and giving advice on what to contribute. You will be able to hand your purchases over to us in marked baskets which will be ready behind the tills. We look forward to seeing you there!

Every contribution counts! When we all come together, we can do great things.
1. Search the map for the nearest store hosting the Food Drive and add items to your purchase to give to the volunteers behind the till. The Food Collection includes selected stores from the Albert, Billa, COOP, DM Drogerie Markt, Globus, IKEA, Kaufland, Lidl, MAKRO, PENNY, ROSSMANN, Teta Drogerie, and Tesco chains.
2. Support the collection online from the comfort of your home by shopping at Košík.cz, Rohlík.cz, iTesco, or the Billa e-shop.
3. Volunteer where you live. Simply sign up on the form and wait for a coordinator to contact you.
