PIN UK will take the lead in establishing new partnerships for fundraising and institutional learning with UK-based universities, donors and international actors. PIN UK will look for opportunities for collaboration across its sectors: international development, humanitarian response and human rights. London is a hub of information sharing with a wide range of world-class institutions and networks. With the presence of UK-based sectoral advisors, PIN UK will engage with these networks to keep track of current development and innovations whilst contributing our “hands on” experience of programme implementation in complex and diverse contexts.
The UK Department for International Development (DFID) is currently PIN’s largest donor, primarily due to the recent growth of its humanitarian operations. DFID is headquartered in London where key events take place, including strategy development and face-to-face engagement meetings. PIN intends to use its presence in London to bring experience, knowledge and learning from the field to shape the debate on the design of international aid funding.
