Join the Food Drive on November 12th!
Published: Nov 10, 2022 Reading time: 2 minutesOn November 12th, Sbírka potravin (the food collection) organised by smaller food banks, as well as the Czech Federation of Food Banks will take place. Traditionally, it it held throughout the Czech Republic and this year People in Need is also going to take part.
Sbírka potravin is a day of solidarity and takes place every spring and autumn. During this year's spring round, we collected a total of 325 tonnes of goods, which helped to fill the shelves of the the warehouses of dozens of food banks. That collection took place in almost 1,200 stores across the Czech Republic and involved an amazing 3,287 volunteers. Now it's time to collect even more!
How, where and who are PIN helping?
PIN staff will be in the stores to hand out flyers and advise customers about what is best to contribute to the drive. Other members of our team will also wait behind the tills with shopping baskets for customers to drop off their purchases. The food collected will help people in very difficult social situations, some of whom we help personally in other aspects of their lives.
In and around Olomouc, three of our offices will be involved (those in Přerov, Jeseník and Prostějov). The Karlovy Vary office will also join in. All our helpers can be found in Kaufland stores in the aforementioned towns from 8 am to 6 pm.
How Can You Help?
Every item counts! When we all join together, we can really help out!

2. Support the collection online from the comfort of your home by shopping at Košík.cz, Rohlík.cz or iTesco.
