IN PICTURES: Education support for building the future of Syria

Remedial classes
Many Syrian students were forced to leave schools because of the war, distance, the destruction of their schools, and displacement. These factors often leave children without education or a chance to progress. Our remedial classes provide the children a chance to learn basics such as reading, math and English, which help them to continue their education later.
Psycho-social sessions
With psycho-social support (PSS), the children have the chance to improve their mental health through play, art, and friendships. Child mental health is often overlooked; therefore, PSS plays a big role in improving a child’s well-being.
With generous funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, we are supporting education in Northern Syria through remedial classes, PSS activities, rehabilitating schools, and distributing supplies for teachers and students.
