Capability statement on Climate Resilient Programming
People in Need (PIN) is an International NGO established in 1992 in Czech Republic and currently operates in 24 countries across Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe. PIN has been working in Ethiopia since 2003, implementing several multi-sectoral development and emergency projects in different regions.
In line with the global approach, in Ethiopia PIN is committed to increase climate resilience in communities, maximise the climate change mitigation co-benefits,
and support people affected by climate hazards, such as droughts and floods, across the disaster management cycle. PIN’s strategies align with Ethiopian governmental instruments, as the Ethiopia’s Climate-Resilient Green Economy, and we support the implementation of governmental policies, strategies and plans, in coordination with the main stakeholders in the climate governance setup.
